The Design/Build Advantage & Process

The Advantage:

Unlike many other builders and remodelers that provide design services through an outside designer, we have an in-house designer who is not just an owner but also a licensed master builder with extensive hands-on experience in new and renovation construction. This expertise allows us to navigate complex construction projects effectively, making the experience less daunting for our clients. Building trust and strong relationships with our clients starts during the pre-construction phase.

The Process:

Design and Budget Guidance

We believe that the key to a successful and stress-free project, whether it’s a simple deck or a full house renovation, begins with design. During this phase, we answer questions, provide clear direction, and establish a working budget based on the client’s commitment. We analyze every aspect of the project, from demolition to electrical work, to create a detailed budget estimate which helps determine our readiness to move forward to the pricing phase.

Pricing

In the pricing phase, we use the finalized design and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to create an actual budget with precise costs. Site visits maybe required for accuracy, and we maintain open communication with the client. Once pricing is complete, we schedule a review meeting with the client.

Initial Budget Presentation

At our showroom, we present the pricing information to the client for discussion. This meeting aims to ensure we’ve understood the client’s needs and desires accurately and to align the project scope and budget. It may result in further design or budget revisions, but our goal is to reach an agreement on both scope and budget.

Contract Review and Signing

Upon agreement, we draft the contract and send it to the client for review. After approval, the client can electronically sign the contract and submit the down payment. This marks the beginning of the scheduling process.

Scheduling

Once the contract is signed, we create a construction schedule, confirming it with subcontractors. Taking the time to establish the schedule before hand ensures efficient project implementation.

Implementation

During the implementation phase, our project manager supervises the work on-site, coordinating closely with the designer to ensure adherence to the design, specifications, and scope of work. Our commitment to quality and precision remains consistent throughout this phase.

Warranty

Upon completion of the implementation phase, your home is ready for enjoyment. Our final phase is the warranty period, which officially covers one year. However, we consider our clients as life long partners and are dedicated to addressing their needs and concerns for as long as they reside in their home. Your satisfaction is our priority.
